Proceeds from the event benefit Memorial Cancer Center’s complementary care services for regional cancer patients. These services include the Pink Ribbon program for breast cancer patients, massage therapy, acupuncture, and yoga classes. The services are provided free of charge to patients of area hospitals and treatment centers. While they have medical, spiritual, physical and social benefits for patients, such programs are generally not covered by insurance.
